New Google Chrome Beta
Google is just rolling out a new beta of the increasingly popular Google Chrome browser, with many improved features. This update comes just a few months after they took off the beta label from Google Chrome in last December. From the new features: improved speed (about 25% to 35%) form autofill full page zoom autoscroll [...]
Google Chrome’s popup blocker sucks!
I’m having difficulties working on Chrome lately. I’m using a webpage that constatly spawns popups for reminders and my problem is that Chrome blocks these popups. And it shows the notice that a popup has been blocked only for a few seconds. If you are not quick enough you have no way to see the [...]
Upgrade your browser!
Often i found myself wondering about why people use some antique and insecure software. For example Internet Explorer 6. This browser was launched back in 2001 and many many people still use it. Now when Internet Explorer 8 is about to be launched. In fact if you look in the statistics of any high trafic [...]
Internet Explorer 8 Release Candidate 1 released
Microsoft released Internet Explorer 8 RC1. You can find it here. The final launch is probably in the first half of this year. The question is how many people will make the switch, because i’m horrified by the large number of people still using Internet Explorer 6 years after Internet Explorer 7 has been released.
Opera 10 looks good aka browser wars are back on
I’ve just tested Opera 10 with its new Presto 2.2 rendering engine and it seems that Google Chrome has some competition on the speed factor. Opera 10 loads somewhat slower then Google Chrome but much faster as Firefox. It renders pages faster then Firefox but i couldn’t decide wich one is faster Chrome or Opera 10 [...]

Too much evolution vs get left behind
Users behaviors change over time and software developers are trying to keep up with the trends and with the technology. But sometimes they just overdo things. Or sometimes they are left behind by technology. To do nothing is risky but to do too much is a risk too. I will present you 3 software packages [...]
Funny Firefox easter egg
I’ve just seen a funny easter egg hidden in Firefox. If you open the browser and type in the address bar about:robots you will see a funny page dedicated to robots. It is kinda old trick – since FF3 appeared but i just learned about it. It made my day.
Two annoying Chrome issues
I’m using Chrome heavily lately for work and for regular browsing. I’ve come accross two annoying issues that just ruin my Chrome experience. 1) When i type a domain name without “www” and the particular domain is not configured correctly it will give me an error. Firefox just ignores this and tries the domain with [...]
Google Chrome crashes all tabs
The much advertised feature of Google Chrome, the one that prevents a web page to crash the whole browser because of a bad site, isn’t working as supposed to be. I just opened a pdf file from a web site, in one browser instance and that crashed the whole browser (All instances and tabs crashed). [...]
Firebug is available for Firefox 3
I’ve been long waiting for this. Finally every web developer’s must have tool Firebug has been released for Firefox 3. Although Firefox 3 is still in testing, one Release Candidate (RC1) is available. I’ve already started using FF because it is much faster then its predecessor so it is a pleasure working with the browser. [...]

For those who didn’t used it. What is Joost? Joost is a different way to watch online television or television in general. It is a software that delivers you television shows directly from the internet on a broadband connection, for free and legally! You can choose what channel want to view and what show you [...]
My thoughts about Firefox 3
The final alpha variants of Minefield/Gran Paradiso are being released and soon we will be witnessing the release of the 3rd generation of Firefox. I’m using the alpha variants for more then two months. The changes aren’t that big. Maybe some of the more unexperienced users won’t even notice. But one thing is certain. I [...]
Microsoft drops WGA validation for IE7
Thursday with the patch Internet Explorer 7 received from Microsoft a major feature of the browser was modified. Internet Explorer 7 no longer requires you to validate your copy of Windows through WGA validation. What this means? It means that Microsoft realized that people who bought their copy were pretty annoyed by this validation procedure [...]
